Cairo

As soon as you arrive at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The city of Cairo is a gigantic capital, but at the same time fascinating and intoxicating and full of places to visit. The first stop you can do includes a visit to the three pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chefren and Menkaure, whose construction remains a mystery. Then it will be the turn of the great Sphinx, responsible for the surveillance of the necropolis. Also during the day visit of Saqqara, funeral complex where the first step pyramid was built. Opportunity to watch the sound and light show at the Pyramids in the evening. The second day you can go to the discovery of Egyptian antiquities at the most famous museum in the world, home to the fabulous treasure of Tutankhamun. In the afternoon visit the Saladin citadel containing many architectural gems such as the famous Mohammed Ali mosque. Finally, you can spend some free time in the Khan el Khalili bazaar, a maze of shops and stalls teeming with people, before heading to the hotel for dinner.

Flight to Luxor and transfer to the ship

As soon as you arrive you can immediately visit the Karnak temple. The site covers more than 2 square kilometers and was once the richest temple in Egypt and the main place of worship. Dedicated to the gods Amun, Mout and Khonsou it consists of three main temples, small closed temples and several outer temples. The three main temples are surrounded by huge brick walls. At the end of the visit, you can reach the sacred lake which is located outside the main hall where there is also a large statue of a scarab dating back to King Amenhotep III, used for purification. Afternoon and part of the night dedicated to navigation to Assouan.

Aswan

In the morning visit the Philae temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple was saved from the waters during the construction of the Aswan Dam. It was dismantled and transported to a nearby islet. The work was conducted with the participation of UNESCO, the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, the Archaeological Services of Cairo, in 1974, for two years. It remains the best preserved temple in Egypt. In the afternoon, you can go on a discovery of one of the most fascinating parts of the Nile as you stroll around Elephantine Island aboard a felucca, a traditional Egyptian boat. Aswan, the beautiful "Nubiana" is renowned for its souks, the most beautiful in Egypt.

Abu Simbel

After enjoying the covered markets of Aswan, you can arrange a visit to the Abu Simbel temple, the famous temple of Ramesses II and Nefertari. Excavated in the mountain, the large temple pays homage to Ramesses II, with four colossal statues of which they bear his effigy that frame the entrance. Inside, other statues of the pharaoh depicted in the guise of the god Osiris, frescoes illustrating the military conquests and religious rites performed by Ramses II. After the visit you will return to Aswan to embark again and go to Kom Ombo during the night.

Kom Ombo

The temple of Kôm Ombo overlooking the Nile is dedicated to the two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god and Haroeris, the falcon-headed god. The ruins of the temple of Kôm-Ombo constitute one of the most picturesque places in ancient Egypt. Built immediately on the banks of the Nile, this sanctuary enjoys an exceptional location and offers a very beautiful view of the palm grove that surrounds it.

Returning to Luxor

Returning to Luxor you absolutely cannot miss the visit of the west bank and go to the discovery of the Valley of the Kings: the royal necropolis houses about sixty tombs of sovereigns, carved into the rock, sometimes carved, finely drawn and painted. Seen from the outside, they look just like cavities, but once inside, these tombs are fascinating. The visit continues to the temple of Hatshepsut. Photo stop in front of the Colossi of Memnon.
