4. Third party app should be allowed from gmail settings.

1. First of all open the Settings app on iPhone.

2. Now scroll down and touch on password & accounts option

3. Here you will get a list of your email accounts, in this list you have to click on the Add Accounts button.

4. Now you will see a list of email service providers from which you have to select Google.

5. Type in your Google email address and press the Next button.

4. Now type your email password. Keep in mind that the password is always case sensitive, so type it in the same way you have created it. If you have used any of your small or big words or special characters, then type them in the same manner.

4. At the end you will be able to see a window in which you have to select all the services you want to use. For example, if you want to use contacts along with email, then turn it on.

As soon as you select the services, click OK or Finish button. Your Gmail account will be added to iphone. Now, you can open the Mail app by going out of Settings.

1. Go back to the passwords and accounts settings again.
2. Now click on add accounts and click on other account
3. Now type your email address, name, password and other inquiries, then click on the Next button.
4. You have to type imap.gmail.com in the details of the incoming server. And you have to type your email address and password in username password.
5. In the outgoing details, you have to type smtp.gmail.com and click on the Next button. After filling all the information, you have to click on the Next button.

Finally, your Gmail account will be added to your iphone. Now you can use your email easily through the mail app.
