Cannot Find the Search Tools Tab in File Explorer? Here are the Fixes

If you have a Windows 10 device, you can easily search for stuff through the inbuilt Search option on the Taskbar. Moreover, you can also conduct a search for files and folders from File Explorer. The inbuilt search functionality of File Explorer also features the Search Tools on the ribbon. This tab provides a number of advanced search features as well as options. Hit the Enter Button After Entering the Search Query
Follow the steps listed below:
- Launch the File Explorer on your system.
- Then input any search query into the given section.
- You should hit the Enter button or select the arrow sign located at the bottom right.
- After that, the search tool tab will appear inside the ribbon.
- Now, modify the search by modifying the search factors from the tab of Search. You can utilize advanced search queries.
Add the Search Icon to Quick Access Toolbar
Follow the steps listed below:
- At first, run a sample search, then press the Enter button.
- After that, the tab of the search will appear over the ribbon of File Explorer.
- Now, go to your preferred search factor and right-click on it.
- You need to pick the ‘Add to Quick Access Toolbar’ option.
- Then the ‘Date Modified’ factor will be available inside the Quick Access Toolbar.
- You should add every factor to the Quick Access Toolbar by following the above-given instructions.
- Later, close the File Explorer and then launch it once again.
- After that, every search factor will get displayed in the Quick Access Toolbar.
- Now you should select it to add it to the search section and then run the search.
- For example, select the icon of date Modified and reach the menu, then choose the Yesterday option.
- Now, input this command into the search section and insert the search query later: datemodified:yesterday
- In the same way, you should add every other search factor into the search section of File Explorer. Just select the applicable shortcut and move it to the Quick Access Toolbar.
Get Back to the Earlier Windows Version
You should get back to the earlier Windows version. Follow the steps listed below:
- Hit the Windows button to open the Search section.
- Afterward, click on the Settings option.
- You should click on the ‘Update & Security’ option and reach the screen’s right panel, then pick the ‘View Update History’ option.
- Now, select the ‘Uninstall Updates’ option and click on the ‘Enablement Package (KB4517245)’ update.
