All developers keep updating the software and apps to enhance the user experience. If you are a Windows 10 user, you should know that Windows 10 has recently seen five new features. We will introduce you to these five new features of Windows 10. If your Windows 10 is not updated, you should first update it by going to the "Settings" option. To get acquainted with these features, read below.

Customize Your Start Menu

The latest update of Windows 10 has brought the feature to help users customize the Start menu. Moreover, a user can switch to Light and Dark mode. Here are the steps one can go through to switch to the light and dark mode.

  1. Select the "Start" button that appears in the left corner at the bottom.
  2. Now, you need to click on "Settings."
  3. Select "Personalization," then click the "Colors" option you see in the left menu.
  4. Below the "Choose your color," you can select either light or dark mode or a combination of both.
  5. From there, you can choose any accent color for Windows as per your preference.

See All Your Open Tabs

If one has several windows open on their PC, these may make the taskbar look cluttered. There is a shortcut and fast way to see the open tabs. Click the Alt + tab; this will display all the browser tabs open. Keep in mind that it works only for Edge Browser.

Switch to Tablet Mode with Surface Pro or Surface Book

Now, you can easily convert your PC into a tab in just a few clicks. This setting will work if you have Surface Pro or Surface Book. To switch between PC and tablet mode, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click on the "Action center" in the taskbar. It may appear similar to a speech bubble icon located on the right side on the screen.
  2. Under the "Notifications," you will see several options like Wi-Fi connection, Screen snip, and Flight mode. Search for Tablet mode and click on it to switch.
  3. To switch back from tablet mode to PC mode, look for PC mode and click it.

Change Your Display Refresh Rate

Your monitor’s refresh rate is vital if you want the motion to appear good on the screen. It may be necessary, especially for those who play games. A user can notice it well when they drag the open windows around. If you ever see the graphics lagging on your PC, fix the issue by following the steps:

  1. Press the "Start" button that is located in the left-hand corner.
  2. Then, select the "Settings" icon.
  3. Click on the "System" and then select "Display." It will open.
  4. Scroll down until you see the "Advanced display settings."
  5. If one uses dual monitors, choose which monitor you want to apply the settings to.
  6. You can choose from the options that appear.
  7. Click on the desired refresh rate and close the window.

Pin Tabs to the Taskbar

A user can already pin the snipping tool, calculator, and their favorite app to the taskbar, but the latest update has brought a great feature that allows you to pin the websites. This feature lets you see the frequently visited websites without opening the Edge browser. Follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Browse the websites you wish to pin.
  3. Click on the "Settings" option that appears in the top-right corner.
  4. Select "Pin to taskbar" and choose the title you want to appear.
