Shimla, also known as Simla is the perfect location for a summer retreat. When the heat and humidity of summer sets in many take to the foothills to get in that much-needed spring break. Shimla is renowned for its cool climate and countless attractions. Tourism companies all agree that it is the best place to escape the hot summer months and let off steam. Chadwick Waterfalls does not disappoint either. A 100-metre waterfall that can only be reached by a scenic trek through Glen Forests. Annandale is another luxuriously beautiful spot. It has been developed as the playground of the city where cricket is played often. Golf, Polo and picnics are also quite common here. Strolling through Kiala Forest has amazed many by the peace of nature and wildlife living in harmony there.

Historical sights include the Victorian architecture of Christ Church which depicts the Christian culture as well as its beautiful architecture. The Viceregal Lodge has also left its mark on the city. The lodge was the place that the Viceroy would reside in during the summer months.
