The Perfect Affirmations to Transform Your Self-Talk
Posted: Apr 09, 2021
Do you notice your thoughts as they pass you by? Are they positive or negative?
We largely underestimate the power our thoughts have on our lives. And yet, thoughts lead to beliefs and actions, that ultimately determine everything from happiness to success.

So, today we’re looking at the words that can change our lives for the better. They help us transform our belief systems and do what’s best for our futures. Take control of what goes on in your own head with these amazing affirmations:
1. Morning affirmations
First, morning affirmations are of the self-motivating type and they work beautifully to get your mind right as you start your day. Give yourself the gift of energy and determination as you rise to your full potential. Say them as you get ready for work, in the shower, or during a workout. Great morning affirmation examples include:
- I enjoy the simple moments.
- I am bold and confident.
- I forgive myself for mistakes made.
- Everything I’m looking for is inside of me.
- This day is full of opportunity.

2. Kid Affirmations
Next, give your kids the same energy that you would want with these short and sweet affirmations. Say them and have kids repeat at breakfast, dinner, or while waiting in the car for something. They are direct and easy. Plus, they build confidence, gratitude, self-esteem and more in our children! What more could we possibly want? Affirmations for kids include:
- I choose to be happy.
- I am a kind kid.
- I am a good friend.
- I speak up for myself.
- I love my unique self.

3. Sleep Affirmations
And finally, what you say to yourself before you fall asleep can affect the quality of your thoughts as you drift away and slumber. So, let’s keep it relaxed and positive for your best night of sleep possible. Great affirmations for night are gentle, loving, and restful. You can say them in your bed as you get sleepy. Here are a few examples:
- I am thankful for today.
- I am still and calm.
- I let go of any tense and anxious thoughts.
- I let myself feel heavy. I relax each body part into the mattress.
- Peace is my priority as I fall asleep

In Conclusion
Affirmations are just words, but when you repeat them over and over they form a familiar path in your brain. Before you know it, you’ll be saying them to yourself unintentionally when you feel tired and ready for bed, or when you’re putting yourself in the right state in the morning. Perhaps you’ll even hear your child tell herself she’s beautiful and confident. What a wonderful thing to listen to!
I hope these affirmations raise your self-talk to the next level!
