Our SharpView brand intraocular lenses (IOLs) are made from Poly Methyl MethAcrylate (PMMA) material. This was the first proven material for intraocular lenses. SharpView mono-focal, non-foldable IOLs provide consistently excellent (workhorse like) performance. These IOLs are popular where mass cataract surgeries are done, mainly by charitable institutes and individual doctors who perform charity cataract operations. These IOLs are preferred by surgeons who perform the conventional SICS technique for cataract surgery.

Their excellent performance and shoestring pricing combination make them ideal for institutes and individual practitioners who in the true sense want to provide the gift of sight to the needy people, who otherwise cannot afford the high cost of foldable lenses.

Our SharpView IOLs are biconvex and single piece by design. They are manufactured using high quality imported PMMA raw material. The SharpView IOLs are primarily available in both posterior chamber and anterior chamber variants.

Our posterior chamber SharpView IOLs are available in the below variants:

  • Clear Spherical (Model number 10318).

  • Clear Spherical with 360 degree square-edge (Model number 10322).

  • Yellow Spherical with 360 degree square-edge (Model number 11322).

All the posterior chamber variants above are available in the optic diameter of 6.0 millimeters and overall diameter of 12.50 millimeters and they possess two dialing holes. These dialing holes help in positioning of the IOL.

Our posterior chamber Clear Spherical with 360 degree square-edge IOLs are also available in an additional without dialing holes variant possessing an optic diameter of 5.25 millimeters and overall diameter of 12.00 millimeters (Model number 10016).

The anterior chamber SharpView IOLs are available only in the clear spherical variant (Model number 10340), they possess an optic diameter of 6.0 millimeters and overall diameter of 12.50 millimeters. These come without dialing holes.

Our SharpView IOLs have a refractive index of 1.49 at 20 degree Celsius. Their "A-Contstant" value is 118.2.

Diopter range for our SharpView IOLs:

  • +5 D to +15 D are available with an increment of 1.0 D (+5, +6, +7 and so on).

  • +15 D to +27 D are available with an increment of 0.5 D (+15.5, +16, +16.5 and so on).

  • +27 D to +32 D are available with an increment of 1.0 D (+27, +28, +29 and so on).

SharpView IOLs are packed in an acrylic lens case which is then sealed in a medical grade pouch.

Our SharpView IOLs are sterilized using the ETO sterilization process.
