Materials :

  • 27 x 20-inch sheet of medium-weight white paper
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife
  • Cutting mat
  • Iron
  • Clear cellophane tape
  • Glitter: orange, green
  • Package of white Velcro Sticky Back coins

Direction

  1. 1. Cut paper lengthwise into 5 3/4 x 20-inch strips.
  2. 2. Fold each strip accordion-style along its length, making folds 2 1/2 inches apart.
  3. 3. Cut out pattern of skeleton.
  4. 4. Place pattern on folded paper strip, placing center line of pattern on fold. Trace outline; cut out, forming garland (end skull will be half-skull).
  5. 5. Place garland on cutting mat. Using craft knife, cut out openings as marked on pattern.
  6. 6. Open out garland. Cut away half-skull, leaving 1-inch-long tab. Cutaway other end of garland even with end of skull.
  7. 7. Using warm iron, press garland to remove fold lines.
  8. 8. Place strips of tape behind openings on skulls. Sprinkle glitter onto tape; shake off excess.
  9. 9. Attach Velcro coins to each tab to join strips. Also attach coins at ends of garland. Attach coins to wall to hang garland.
