When traveling through Central America, you will likely be looking at only two beaches of El Salvador. The first is the Pacific Ocean, offering a variety of water sports activities.

From sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, snorkeling, and boating to fishing, surfing, and boating, there is enough water activity on this coast to offer any tourist a unforgettable vacation. However, the most popular water sport activities are found on the Playa del Carmen (blue beach) and Puerto Plata (green beach).

While the Pacific Ocean features many popular beaches of el Salvador, they still share a commonality. On each beach, you will find white sand and crystal-clear blue water.

In many cases, the waves reach up to six feet in height, making it a good place for beginners to learn how to surf.

As the waves start to grow in strength and size, however, more tourists are paddling out in the waves, hoping to master the skills of the world's greatest surfers.

Another common scene on the beaches of el Salvador can be found along the Playa de Los Dedos.

This region of the city has historically been home to high levels of poverty and crime, but it is now a much safer area. In the center of the area, you will find the majority of the shoreline is developed, providing tourists with a wide range of shopping and dining experiences.

If you want to venture further into the city, however, you will likely find fewer tourists. The main reason for this is because the majority of the beaches of el Salvador are located along the Pacific Ocean.

The final part of this article focuses on the southern part of the city

The beaches of el Salvador that are most popular among tourists (and locals) are those located to the south of the Playa del Carmen and along the southern coastline.

If you want to experience some of the best white-water rafting in all of Central America, then take a trip out to the Baru River and through its canyons. These canyons are also home to a series of wrecks and sinkholes that are perfect for taking photographs at an amazing rate!

The beaches of el Salvador are extremely popular with visitors because they are often home to a series of beautiful hotels and resorts. One of the most popular tourist destinations is the Cayo Santa Maria.

The resort itself sits on the beach of El Salvadorean beach and is surrounded by a series of lovely bars and restaurants. In addition to enjoying the beaches of El Salvador, tourists can take advantage of local cuisine in one of the many restaurants or sit down at one of the bar lounges in downtown San Miguel.
