Although micronutrient supplementation plays a significant role in improving the quality of life through nutrition, guidelines development should also take into account the factors affecting acceptability, taste and aroma of the food. This means that food producers should consider not only the taste and aroma, but also the texture, color and the other aspects that may affect consumer acceptance. Moreover, it is important to consider local availability and infrastructure before implementing any micronutrient supplementation strategy. Last but not the least, the food producer should ensure that the micronutrient mixture is processed in a pharmaceutical laboratory for quality assurance before release into the market.
