Here’s to a happier 2022! What are your New Year’s resolutions? Stop smoking, exercise more, start a new course, change a job? The list goes on and on and, fortunately, the options are more prospective than ever!

If you’re thinking about furthering your career prospects, you will discover that there are plenty of opportunities, starting with eLearning and expanding far beyond any opportunity we have seen so far. The pandemic has seen to that that there are so many alternatives that truly everyone with a solid internet connection can change their lives dramatically.

To illustrate, digital nomadism has never been this popular, and online learning has reached new heights. Couple the two, and you’ll see your perspectives getting broader by the minute.

Still, no amount of learning will help you make a change if you’re not really trying to change anything. That’s why you should learn how to improve your performance no matter what you do. The process begins with flow state.

Learn More About Flow States

Flow state is a curious term referring to complete absorption and concentration. Flow and productivity go hand in hand, so it’s crucial to master the skill (or, rather, the state of mind).

Flow states have a couple of phases (better known as the flow cycle), which means everyone can learn them. At a glance, the phases are:

  1. Struggle. A sensation similar to trying something out for the first time and being aware of the fact that something is missing. In this phase, you obtain the information necessary for performing the task.
  2. Release. Letting go of all the struggles. To be able to reach a flow state, you need to put a stop to the struggle. This phase usually means taking a break a revelation is likely to occur. Psychologists say this is a natural thing because even though you’re consciously taking a break, the issue you were thinking about previously is still present in the subconscious. That’s why it often happens that we see a solution to a problem when taking a shower or performing some other task unrelated to work.
  3. Flow. Following the release, you go back to the task and witness the eureka moment. This is the actual flow state.
  4. Recovery. Flow state depletes your mental resources because you’ll be absorbed in the task and the task alone. You are boosting your performance by depleting your regular work mode. To avoid burnout, it is necessary to take a break afterward.

Consider Continued Learning

With the rise of eLearning (and, of late, mLearning as well), it has become possible for everyone to continue learning. Whether you would like to learn a new skill or engage in a new hobby, you will be able to find just the course for you online.

In addition, consider going to a university or a certificate or accreditation for a specific skill. Each to their own! Consider your plans for the future and choose accordingly.

Create an Online Course

Seeing as online courses are all the rage these days, it’s no wonder that more and more experts have turned to profiting from offering online courses of their own. And why not? If you’re an expert in the field, you can help others improve their knowledge, while at the same time establishing your services as reliable.

Create an online course and offer it on your website or online learning platforms and expand your operations from there.

Conclusion

Learning, working and being happier seem like a perfect combination to greet the coming year. Combine best practices and make your life just as you want it to be. With the opportunities at our disposal, this has never been easier, so make use of them.
