Udaipur First Impressions and Things to Do

Before we get started, I'd want to admit that I didn't remain in Udaipur for very long, only three days before heading south. But that was enough for me to fall head over heels with the location.
One of the reasons I liked Udaipur so much was because of its calm and laid-back atmosphere, something I didn't find in Jodhpur. There was a sense of serenity in the air.

Whatever your preference, there is much to see and do in and around Udaipur. There is something for everyone, from backpackers to honeymooners to family vacationers — after all, it is one of India's best tourist destinations.

Pichola Lake
This is the city's oldest, biggest, and most heavily used lake. Sunset or sunrise are the finest times to view Lake Pichola in Udaipur (sunrise for a quiet experience).
