7 Spring Cleaning Helpful Hints
Posted: Dec 23, 2021
As the days grow longer, we're all reminded of those less-than-clean areas in our houses that require attention. Spring cleaning is in the air, and there are a variety of ways to clean your home in preparation for the upcoming season. The best spring cleaning tips, on the other hand, aren't always the most complicated. Why? Because we sometimes overlook these really essential areas! Here are some useful spring cleaning techniques that will compel you to concentrate on those routine areas that could use a little additional attention.
Curtains: When was the last time you took your curtains down, tossed them in the washer, and gave them a thorough cleaning? You'd be shocked how much a room can look cleaner simply by washing the window treatments! It simply takes a few minutes to take down some curtains so they can be washed, but the difference will be noticeable. Unless the curtain tag specifies otherwise, you may normally wash and dry any pair of curtains in the washing machine–though you may want to hang dry them to avoid shrinkage.
The numerous items in your kitchen. Many different baked products, warm soups, and breads may be found in winter kitchens, but all of that comfortable cooking can result in quite a mess. Remove spices, old dried products, and anything that you no longer use from your kitchen cabinets.
Are your windows becoming difficult to look through? If your windows become unsnap, remove them and clean them well before replacing them. Hire someone to clean your windows from the outside if you can't clean them yourself. You'll be able to let in all of that lovely spring and summer sunshine this way!
Dust behind and on top of items: Get a dusting cloth and start working on the tops of cabinets, baseboards, molding, door frames, and underneath things. Dust under closed doors, beneath door stoppers, and under mattresses, and consider the location you can't see. A good dusting can help a lot.
Change and wash bedding: If you haven't replaced your bed comforters this winter, now is an excellent time to do so. When they've returned, save them for next winter and replace them with lighter, brighter spring selections.
Carpets and furniture: Vacuum attachments can make vacuuming rugs and furniture easier, but if you still can't get all of those winter stains out, you might want to hire a hot water vacuum.
When Should You Hire Assistance?Spring cleaning should be enjoyable, but if you simply do not have the time, you may want to hire a professional cleaning crew to come in and thoroughly clean your home.
