Skill Development Program at KL University

Responsibilities of the Dean - Competence Development can be divided into the following spectrum of activities The Dean - Skills Development is intended to implement and provide the planning instructions needed for ongoing professional development activities and to explore new and future skills at KLEF for the benefit of students, academics, faculty and non-faculty staff. Some of the Skill Development Division's points and goals are listed, but not limited to or with suggested changes.

Focussed Objectives of Skill Development Program

  • Ensuring the overall development of students and academics with the help and support of appropriate training mechanisms/methods and modes.

  • Achieve and target higher and better salary packages for students in core and related industries/companies.

  • To prepare students to plan their careers towards entrepreneurship, career advancement and increased employability of skills.

  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress from the beginning of induction and help them in time to achieve progressive growth and comparable significant development with effective professional and

  • Skill enhancement in their areas Competency activities designed for students, academics, faculty, staff, external CSR and other relevant stakeholders apply (general entry to exit training plans)

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • For the purpose of effective results at the central university level in terms of skills; a strong liaison and coordination to be established with the Dean (Academics), the Dean (Progress and Education), the Dean (Internships and Internships) and the Director (International Relations) and others etc as appropriate. Identifying skill development needs, including creating a catalog of skill types, breadth and depth of skills to help people choose from them.

  • Developed a Sector Skills Development Plan and maintained the Directory of Skills Courses Database.

  • Membership, Accreditation, Examination and Certification Processes in accordance with NSQF as defined by NSQC.Conduct competency-based assessments and certifications for training programs.

  • Participate in establishing membership, accreditation, testing and certification standards for their respective sectors.

  • Plan and facilitate delivery of instructor training along with NSDC and states. Promotion of excellence academies.

  • Special attention to the training needs of ST/SC, minority groups and people with different abilities.

  • Ensure people educated and trained to set standards are guaranteed employment at living wages.

  • Supervision of the regional offices for the preparation of consents, implementation of the internship, assessment of the students employed and submission of reports.

Expectations - Plan Mode and Mechanism with Few Additional Points
  • Work towards improvements in all areas of professional, technical and other continuing education and training services and skills development in order to achieve improved standards at all levels with relevant stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the Skills Sector Councils (SSC) to improve skills development activities at KLEF.

  • Engage in income-generating activities (for the self-sufficiency model) related to counseling services, training and education to improve student employability.

  • Contacting and determining the list of companies, industries, SSCs and other competency departments.

  • Propose a model and coordinate with the academic department of various companies and initiate proposals for new MOUs for further submission to the Registrar.

  • Ensure the capability is part of the UGC quality mandate and work on future activities.

  • Coordinate with the required team of experts to decide on global certifications for a specific area.
