People refer to Everest trekking as the most excellent trek route globally. Every time we spend on Everest is peaceful and lovely. The walk is full of flora and breathtaking scenery. We, Raconteur Adventure, take care of all the logistics, including helicopter rescue and other circumstances that may arise during your Everest Base Camp Trek. We make no compromises and are concerned about your safety and comfort.

  • Please get to know the people that live there and interact with them.
  • Stay in a tea house

Raconteur Adventure's Everest Base Camp expedition begins and concludes in Kathmandu. We provide luxury hotels in Kathmandu and other regions where they are available, and Tea House provides the necessary services in the mountain region.

This is a difficult challenging trekking with a grade of 5, so be prepared to sweat. Raconteur Adventure has planned several trekking trips in Nepal and has a long history of organizing tours. So, with all of the natural and artificial grandeur of this journey in mind and your time constraints, we have devised the ideal Everest Base Camp Trek schedule.

The route to Everest Base Camp begins at Lukla and continues through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dughla, Lobuche, Gorakh Step, and Everest Base Camp. When we return, we can reroute the entire trail, and the scenery is just as beautiful on the way back. Please see our Everest Region hiking section on the website menu for other ways to Everest Base Camp. Because this is one of the most challenging hikes, you should plan ahead of time where you will plant your foot.

Trek to Everest Base Camp Terrains

The entire distance travelled during the journey to Everest Base Camp is 92kilometress. Every day, the walk begins with breakfast about 8:00-8:30 a.m. In high altitudes, the journey may start early to have the most nuanced view of the mountains and their surroundings. We may take a break to gather our breath, take some photos, drink some tea, and enjoy the trek. The trekking speed is standard, and it is normally sluggish to catch up with the height above the mountains. Our well-planned schedule allows for adequate acclimatization and includes two days of relaxation on the trek's rising day. The first few days of the journey are short-distance hikes across a few hills, but there is no hurry. As we climb higher, the ground becomes more level and constant. The majority of the day's hiking is completed by early to mid-afternoon.

The terrain for Everest Base Camp is well-defined and well-shaped. The final portion of the walk is over rocky glacier moraines and requires no specialized equipment. This walk contains several steep drops that necessitate ropes, but there are also a couple of high footbridges to keep you entertained. Many of the footbridges cross the Dudh Koshi River are located below Namche Bazaar. A well-engineered metal walkway has replaced the wooden bridge, making your journey safer and sturdier. During your hike, it is critical to eat well and sleep well.

Meals and Accommodation

You will be housed in lodges run by Sherpa families during Raconteur Adventure's Everest Base Camp Trek. If you prefer a camp hike to Everest, we can accommodate you. These mountain lodges include a central eating room with a vast heater to keep you warm. Bedrooms do not have heating, so you must rely on duvets and blankets. As a result, carrying a sleeping bag might be an alternative. There are two beds in the room, each with a mattress, pillows, and a blanket. We also recommend that you bring a pillowcase.

These lodges offer gas-heated showers and commode toilets, and some even have squat toilets.

In terms of gastronomy, the Everest area does not disappoint. By combining Nepali/Sherpa and western culinary dishes, you may fulfil your taste buds. Don't worry since you can get them elsewhere if you miss those great burgers and chips. During the hike, the traditional meal is Dal, Bhat, and Tarkari, which is a Nepali dish made by combining boiled/steamed rice (bhat) with lentils (dal) and vegetables (tarkari). Beer, croissants, pizza, and other deep/stir-fried items are also available. There are several businesses selling chocolates and sweets and snacks and drinks. Please avoid all unhealthy foods, adhere to simple diet principles, and stick to them. Fitness is required to complete these difficult challenging.

Trekking to EBC includes lengthy day hikes with high heights, reaching a maximum elevation of 5643m above sea level. There are no rock climbing or mountaineering activities that necessitate the use of equipment. Some of the hills on the route are steeper and seem to go on forever. And, at the very end of Everest Base Camp, the Khumbu glacier sits, which is treacherous with ice and lost rock, but poles are available to help you.

What is the difficulty level of the journey to Everest Base Camp?

Nothing about this walk to Everest Base Camp is tedious, but the ever-changing mountain weather and the high altitude might make it more challenging. We recommend that you have a comprehensive health check to verify that your body can adequately convert oxygen at high altitudes. Our advice is to perform several small walks in your home country before embarking on a feast of hiking to EBC. Go to the gym, go on a stroll, and let your thighs feel the fire. Your muscle memory will benefit from the several uphill trips. As we gain altitude, the pace naturally slows and tiredness sets in. So, please keep a safe walking distance, drink and sleep properly, and cease if you are not feeling well; we are here to support you.
