Canada Immigration Program

It is believed by many that Canada is an immigrant-friendly country because its immigration system is relatively easy compared to others. After Express Entry was introduced in 2015, the immigration process became even easier. As part of this program, immigrants must create a profile in order to receive points based on various factors, such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency. They receive their CRS points from a tool called the CRS score calculator. To be eligible for the Canada PR, candidates need to score as high as possible. But what if the candidates fail to score high in the Express Entry pool and not become eligible for Canada PR?

Here are some factors through which candidates can improve their CRS score.

How to improve CRS score to get Canada PR?1.Have proficiency in Canada’s second language

Anyone who is planning to immigrate to Canada should have proficiency in English. But Canada prioritizes those candidates who have proficiency in the French language as well. Candidates can boost their points by having good language skills, which can lead to a higher score, but getting CLB 9 or higher means an extra 100 points on top of the 260 points available when other factors are considered. Candidates should continue to attend classes and repeat the tests while in the Express Entry pool to improve their French scores. Having proficiency in French will help candidates to get 20 extra points on the CRS score calculator.

2. Graduation from Canada

If a candidate completed or just enrolled their name in a designated college or university of Canada, it will help them to earn 30 extra points on the CRS score calculator. In addition to getting more points, candidates don't need to submit their ECAs for verification of educational qualifications. It doesn’t mean that they don’t have to show their educational documents because they do have to. Also, candidates should apply for the job in their educational field. Student visas can be processed faster and immigration policies are more relaxed in Canada, making an academic career more accessible. So, candidates can plan their journey of immigration to Canada with the help of any immigration consultancy that is registered on the ICCRC member list.

3. Arrange Employment in Canada

Candidates who got the job offer from a Canadian employer will be able to earn an extra 200 points on the CRS score calculator. This will definitely increase their chances of receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply) from the Canadian immigration authorities. In the process of arranging employment, candidates need to build good connections in Canada. And this can be done through Linkedin or any other job search websites.

4. Prepare for Provincial Nominee

One of the most sought-after ways to gain extra points is to receive a provincial nominee. It is important to note that each province in Canada has its eligibility and requirements. Candidates can earn 600 points automatically in the CRS score calculator by receiving a nomination from the province. Candidates will receive these extra points only if they meet the requirements of the province.

Those who find a recruiting sponsor employer will also have a chance of succeeding as it is one of the important requirements.

5. Having siblings/family members can be beneficial

If a candidate’s relatives are permanent residents of Canada and they are ready and eligible to sponsor their immigration, then this would be very helpful for the candidates. Applicants should be aware of the fact that their relatives should be their blood relatives. To get detailed information about family sponsorship, candidates can consult an immigration consultant that is registered on the ICCRC member list.
