You're making a good point! With regards to how complex RuneScape gold the post We deliberately provided diverse training strategies and rewards to showcase Bard's flexibility and how it could be integrated into existing game systems. Was it too excessive? Yeah, probably. There's a chance to go further by stating that the design is by no means prescriptive or an all-or-nothing type of pitch. I'm grateful that you're able to look at pieces of the design you love even though others might not be as appealing. It's awesome!

As far as rewards go I'm a bit envious of your idea that Bard's rewards aren't as cut and dry as other skills systems that are older. Frankly, we struggled with what to put on offer as far as rewards are concerned, even though it doesn't seem to be unique to our situation because even the entire OSRS development team struggles to make sure that rewards are appropriate for each item (looking at you Raids 3 rewards)....)

If our rewards are too simple or aren't impactful enough, some might say "what's the reason?" or say it's too similar to existing skills and doesn't take it to a level to warrant being a standalone skills. On the other hand the rewards could be too convoluted or overpowered, others might argue that it's too distinct from what existing is typically offered by skills and that's why it shouldn't exist or rather be made into the level of a minigame, or eliminated altogether. The hefty rewards that come from a skill also tend to carry an obligation to participate (like Slayer's connection with the rest of your combat abilities).

We wanted to avoid the over-reliance on an obligation mindset and the mindset of "I must learn Bard before I go on to train other skills outside of combat or otherwise, I'm making a mistake". This is our method of trying to create an alternative incentive system, one that does not just pump out uncooked cash or items, or boost your the XP you earn in other areas. The structures that are in place can cause issues on their own. Hence, we did consider multiple iterations of these concepts, however I'm sure that you'll understand that this is a tough equilibrium to reach!

For what it's worth, our Bard Expansion techniques of Battling and Performing can provide more straightforward rewards, like raw GP or instrument resources making, in addition to giving you Influence that can be spent in any method you prefer. The Influence system is also dependent on active participation in Bard for a continuous access to specific rewards since it runs on a generator-spender type system although I had a feeling it could end up being a hard pill to swallow for a couple of. It's impossible to know if you take a chance!

I'm sorry to have you read a different dissertation in the comments, however I appreciate Buy RuneScape gold gold your thoughtful feedback and hope that other readers will also be able to find the finest aspects of our work and create something better from it.
