Due to the introduction of many fabrics, textile industry has become one of the industries that are expanding these days. As a result, not only apparels but also, many other things such as furniture, decorative items etc. are start making up of fabrics. If we talk about various types of fabrics, then nonwoven fabric is the one which is actually the network of fibers, bounded with each other either through thermal or chemical means. Moreover, unlike other traditional fabrics, these are the fabrics that do not take much time and energy to convert each fiber into yarn. Also, non woven fabrics are cheaper than woven ones and their manufacturing processes are five times faster and around 30% cheaper than the production of woven fabric. Their processes can also be undertaken under a single roof.

Some of the main properties of these fabrics as compared to woven fabrics are given below:

  • Air Permeability: Due to the structural design of non woven fabrics, these fabrics can offer more air permeability. Thus, they offer much more comfort than that of woven fabric.
  • Breaking Strength: They offer around 10 to 12 % more breaking strength than woven fabrics.
  • Fabric Stretch: Generally, these fabrics can be 20% more stretchable as compared to woven fabrics.
  • Fabric Thickness: These fabrics can have 10 to 20% more thickness than woven fabrics if compared the two based on the same weight per unit.
  • Tear Strength: Depend on the manufacturing process usually the tear strength of these fabrics are almost double than the tearing strength of woven fabrics.
  • Thermal Properties: Because of the thermal properties of these fabrics, they remain cooler than woven fabrics when exposed to high temperature.

If we look closely then we will find that these are the fabrics that can be produced efficiently without losing their quality, standard and softness. Additionally binding is one of the processes that help in interlocking the fibers with several needles. Actually, this is the technological development which also helps in making the fabrics more comfortable, durable and stretchable. Thus, they can be used for many purposes ranging from paper like protects such as envelops, tags to bathroom friendly essentials such as anti-bacterial wipes, hygiene products and many more. These days, they can also be used as medical solutions for example: they can be used in making bandages, face marks, surgical scrubs, gloves and many more. In addition to this, many water filters products, air filters products, padding, packaging, disposable towels, carpeting, upholstery, manufacturing products, wall covering, roof materials and many other products can be made out of them.

Moreover, the quality and quantity of these fabrics may depend on the area where they are being used. Therefore, get the best fabric depending on the need and requirement.
