New Year’s Eve Destinations that Can Never Go Wrong
Posted: Jul 24, 2022
2022 has already passed its halfway mark and what a couple of months we’ve had so far. It’s almost time for new resolutions, midnight kisses, fireworks and that ultimate night out with friends or family! If you're a strategist like me who likes to plan ahead for the New Year celebrations, then grab a cup of coffee and read this brief list of the best places to ring in the New Year 2023.
Sydney
Being one of the, if not the first major city to welcome the New Year, it’s only natural Sydney is on top of this list. The main event in the Emerald City of Australia is the firework display, which is dubbed as one of the most spectacular sights in the world. They can be best viewed onboard the New Year cruises on Sydney Harbour, which is a hot attraction during this season. A steal of a deal, you can indulge in a deluxe dinner with premium drinks along with exclusive views and a live cabaret show, all in an ambient and crowd-free setting. There are also several other events in and around the city centre, including the NYE event at Taronga Zoo, aerial flyovers and other late night parties that usually last till' dawn. From classy Sydney New Year’s Eve cruises to all-out bashes inside the CBD, this is one of the best places to be for New Year.
Paris
Ah, the city of love! If by fortune you get to spend your honeymoon and New Year's Eve together, then don’t even bother looking for options, Paris would be your ideal answer. This romantic getaway city is a magical destination offering world-class dining, a vibrant party scene, amazing fireworks, and of course, a chance to sip champagne while gazing at the legendary Eiffel Tower. Champ Elysees is one of the places to be if you're looking for parties that last till late or if you're keen on admiring the firework display that goes off at midnight then book a river cruise along the Seine. Nonetheless, even simply being in the city during the blissful winter season is an experience worth a thousand words.
Kiribati
There’s never a more perfect way to ring in the New Year than being one of the first persons in the entire world to do so. This secret (maybe not so secret in recent times) island nation in the central pacific is the first place in the world to welcome the New Year! It’s like plummeting into the future! Tourism has been on the rise here in recent years but the island is considered an untouched gem; there’s not much to do here than explore the natural landscapes. You can spend the last days of the year diving into the splendid coral gardens, taking a scenic flight tour, bird watching or even making a seasonal trip to the treasured Christmas Island!
