Shadowlands will be getting the benefit of a Season 4 later this summer that will seek to fill gaps between the expansions by making the previous Shadowlands raids as well as dungeons from previous expansions loot-relevant yet again.

After several years of development World of Warcraft 's fan-made Legacy server Felmyst has been launched. The server takes the game back to launch of The Burning Crusade. The initial expansion to it was made available in 2007. and, following Felmyst's open Beta (which was closed on July 18) the server that is not officially licensed will go live starting at 12PM PT / 3 PM ET/ 8 hours BST.

Felmyst aims to keep the game as authentic as close to The Burning Crusade experience as possible. As opposed to other servers with no official status, there are no rewards for the amount of loot or gold you get and levelling happens at the same pace as it was the year 2007 (up up to levels 70). In a comprehensive video, developer Gummy explained how difficult it was to make the old server due to The Burning Crusade's degree of details.
