The issue of imbalanced servers and merges
Posted: Nov 24, 2022
Aggrend writes that the subject is big, and could be too vast for an online discussion. That's why the team is planning to host a live chat discussion with members of the WoW Classic community to talk server imbalance and other issues. Aggrend adds that more details regarding the community chat will be announced in the next few weeks.
The issue of imbalanced servers and merges isn't unique to WoW Classic. Amazon's MMO World of Warcraft has been struggling with this issue too in recent times, with the game having begun to merge low-population servers with one another.
World of Warcraft 's Rise Of Azshara Concentrates On Flexibility
World of Warcraft 's latest expansion has been on the go through regular story events and content updates that tell the ongoing story about the Battle of Azeroth. Blizzard has now detailed the 2nd major update, Rise of Azshara which will take players to the secluded city of Nazjatar to fight Azshara herself, as well as the brand new city of Mechagon where gnomes are replacing themselves with cold machines.
Rise of Azshara continues the ongoing story of an enormous conflict, but a fresh tale makes the focus more personal. It features Thrall who is trying to live an unhurried life only to find out it isn't possible. Feasel says that in the middle of this huge controversy, studio wanted to take a moment to pause and reconnect with the larger-than-life characters.
"One one of our goals we wanted to accomplish was bring the storyline back to home and back to the family, back to the races and characters that comprise Azeroth," Feasel said. "What are our faction leaders doing and what do they think of the situation in the world? We talk to them regularly, but what do they feel about actual war? This gives us a chance to ground ourselves again, and remind ourselves what we are fighting for and whom we're fighting."
The story's end hasn't been announced yet in the eyes of players Blizzard can already predict where everything is going to lead and what will happen to the next major story moment. It all comes due to the extended time required to create new areas, mechanics and other equipment.
"It takes some amount of time to create content and it is important to know where the story is headed," Kowalkowski said. "We absolutely know where this story is headed. We're sure we know how that will connect."
This expansion continues the narrative of Battle for Azeroth and focuses particularly on a broad range of character customization options. From the new Heart of Azeroth and Essences menus to a punchcard that has sockets to greater flexibility for your mounts, Rise of Azshara is squarely dedicated to giving players of higher levels an increased degree of control. P2Pah talked to tech director Frank Kowalkowski and senior game designer Jeremy Feasel about the ongoing story, the mechanical flexibility, and more.If you want to learn more about WoW WoTLK Classic Gold, please vist https://www.p2pah.com/wow-wotlk-classic-gold.html
