What will you be doing to pass the time on your Prague airport shuttle to your accommodation? Will you be planning where to begin your exploration of this marvellous city, or will you simply be watching out for some of the greatest sights around out the window?

Whatever you do, make sure the following three suggestions make it onto your list of places to go. They have a lot to offer for travellers of all ages.

The Old Town Square

This may well be one of the most iconic sights in the city. It is best approached on foot, and the many pastel shaded buildings are quite impressive. Your Prague airport shuttle will likely avoid it en route to your accommodation, so do make sure you head back to spend an hour or two here at the very least. With many so places you can relax and enjoy in the square – and grab a coffee or a meal - you can soak up the authentic atmosphere and enjoy a wonderful day or evening out.

Petrin Hill and its Observation Tower

How strong are your legs? If you can manage 299 steps you can head up to the top of the Observation Tower on Petrin Hill. There is a little help to reach the top of the hill itself though. While your Prague airport shuttle won’t take you there, there is another mode of transport available – namely a funicular railway. There's no better way to soak up the views as you ascend. Alternatively you can walk up, which is a wonderful experience in itself in good weather. Take the time to relax for a while at the top, because the tower itself is situated amidst some charming gardens.

Prague Zoo

This is a popular outing for the whole family, so it is ideal if you are visiting the city with your children. There are lots of animals to see here, including the majestic tiger, chimps, hippos, a polar bear and a honey badger, among many others. The zoo is very large but there are plenty of places to eat and drink, although you can also bring in a picnic to eat in one of the areas designed for this purpose.

Your Prague airport shuttle is really just the beginning of a great opportunity to explore this amazing city. The more you discover the more you will want to see, and with so many appealing attractions available, you might be surprised just how busy you will be!
