If you haven’t purchased an iPad yet and you are hearing the latest buzz about the newest iPad 3, then maybe it is time for you to really consider whether you should buy and iPad or not.

The iPad is not a laptop, but it has many positive qualities and can be used alone or in addition to your laptop. There are many wonderful features in an iPad, which can be used professionally or personally. First of all, the iPad will connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or 4G LTE.  The Wi-Fi model is a bit cheaper, but having 4G LTE is very convenient.  IPad’s have a storage capacity of 16, 32, or 64 GB, so if you plan on needing a little or a lot of storage, you are taken care of.

Its screen is 9.7 inches and the pixels are the best around.  The colors and the contrast are exceptional. It has GPS connectivity, a 5 megapixel camera, video recorder, iCloud, and has an extremely long battery life.  The iPad boasts up to 10 hours of battery life. When compared to 1-3 hours of a laptop, the iPad rules.

If you are a reader, you will want the iPad to download all your favorite books, magazines, and newspapers to read.  IBook’s and the Kindle for iPad app will furnish you with everything you need for endless hours of pleasurable reading.  If you press the Store button in iBook’s, you will find over 700, 000 books to choose from.  Try to find a library with that many books to choose from!

There are also hundreds of magazines and you’ll be able to read your favorite newspapers daily, as they are right at your fingertips. No more waiting for the paper boy or wondering what neighborhood dog got ahold of your morning newspaper.  Simply subscribe to your favorite newspapers and enjoy.

Probably one of the most popular topics when it comes to an iPad is the apps.  There are over 200, 000 apps in the App Store and you will find many of them for free.  Find games to download, music, videos, business tools, calendars, maps, and so much more. You will be amazed at the creativity of some of the apps and many of them will make your life easier.

Do you like to take photos?  The iPad is a wonderful device for photo opportunities.  Take and store thousands of photos on your iPad.  Edit them using the handy multi-touch tool and use Airplay to stream your photos to your HDTV via Apple TV.  This allows you to view your photos on the full screen, which will be so much fun.

You can also tap into the navigation apps so that you won’t have to get lost again while traveling.  Simply put in your destination and you will have results within seconds.
