One of the major problems today, when it comes to oil wells is the asphaltene deposition. Since crude oil wells are extremely busy day in and day out, digging up essential oils to meet customer demand, problems such as asphaltene deposition can become extremely uncomfortable. However, thankfully, due to the advanced scientific options, there are many dispersants that prevent this deposition.

As we know, crude oil contains various ingredients, mixed together in fixed quantities. One particular ingredient in this- the asphaltene, regrettably, does not go well with some procedures of extraction of oils from the oil wells. Thus, what happens is that this becomes instable, and instead of going along the flow, starts depositing on the sides of the pipes. (Extraction pipes)

If this kind of precipitation occurs continuously, the pathways through which crude oil comes out, many become clogged up, causing disruption in work, and all other safety related issues too.

As a solution to this pressing problem in the oil wells, many chemical industries and researchers have come up with the solution. The product that is formulated called the asphaltene dispersants is used to prevent their namesake from getting unstable. Thus, when asphaltene is stable, they cannot be easily settled on the pipes. The whole scenarios, therefore, works out fine in the oil wells, making them work as a clockwork, instead of stopping production in the middle for some or the other issue.

Thus, the dispersants are an excellent ingredient to be used in crude oil wells, and is also a cost-cutting measure. As to how buying them can reduce the operation costs, let us look at some of the reasons behind this findings:

  • Asphaltene is one of the active ingredients of crude oil. If it becomes unstable and gets settled, your final product is less perfect than otherwise. Your customers might not be very happy with this prospect.
  • The deposition of such chemicals may clog your pipes, and, therefore, make maintenance a very costly affair. You might have to interrupt the operations often enough, to scrape these deposits away. Your production results or the quantity you are producing every day, might not be as much as you had bargained for.
  • Another major problem is that you might be risking the lives of your employees, by putting them under the condition that is not safer for working.

Hence, if you are facing such problems, look for an asphaltene manufacturer to make things easier all around, in your crude oil well and reap excellent benefits out of it.
