Do You Live Near the Major Road?

As the world proceed, techniques improved and transportation too can carry people any way at any time. You can choose what to take, cars, buses or planes, all are at your choice. Especially those people who just need to walk out of the door and the bus stop is just on the right hand. How convenient it is! However, as the old saying goes, every coin has two sides. When you are enjoying the convenience it has brought to you, you have to face all kinds of risks that had been hidden up. The car exhaust gas, the noise of the car motor and the horn, that’s really something. That means you can never enjoy a truly peace.

More worse than that, a recent study has shown that living near the major roads may increase the risk of cardiac death in women. The scientists staff in this research studied data from about 107,000 women. In this study, a large number of factors like age, race, calendar time, cigarette smoking diet and physical activity were adjusted and then they calculated the residential distance. The researchers found astonishing results: living within 50 meters of a major road can increase the risk of sudden cardiac death by 38 percent, and each 100 meters closer would increase another 6 percent of the sudden cardiac death.

However, scientists in this study said that more study are needed to take more factors into consideration like gender, race ages, incomes and so on. They would like to see if this still suits in men.

Actually, no matter where you live, if you have a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet, you do not smoke, you can control yourself in front of wine, you do exercise every day and you have a positive attitude towards life, the blood pressure can be controlled and then risk of the sudden cardiac death can also be decreased. Anyway, it’s all you choice, if you don’t have a good habit, maybe you should live not that close to the main roads.
