Keep a check your sleep timings

In this modern time everyone values productivity and distraction. Many of us find ourselves cutting the sleep time. There is 8 to 10 hours of sleep required for normal functioning. The night allotment of sleep should not be cut down as this is the time when the energy of the body is rejuvenated. While it's easy to view the loss of a few hours of sleep as no big deal. But it is dangerous as the lost hours build up and form a sleep debt. After several days of inadequate rest, we begin thinking muddled thoughts, getting upset over trivial matters.

The top issue which is the symptom of the sleep deprivation is mood swings. Situations that normally would be manageable may suddenly seem much more irritating. The reason for the mood swings are that you are sleep deprived. Sleep deprivation increases your odds of experiencing feelings of depression, burnout and decreased empathy. Those who are already depressed or have other underlying mental health disorders may find those problems exacerbated by lack of sleep. So it is important to check out the sleep hours.

Sleep deprivation can give rise to certain medical issues in people. Starting with diabetics to high blood pressure everything can be reason for sleep issues. In case of diabetic person who experience sleep deprivation become less sensitive to insulin as the body's ability to metabolize sugar decreases. When this occurs, they may have trouble keeping otherwise controlled blood sugars in an acceptable range. If you get less sleep than you are prone to higher blood pressure, lower body temperature and a heart rate.

This sleep issues will affect the personal relationship also. Relationship troubles occur due to inadequate sleep. Sleep pangs can lead to less family time. This in turn leads to frequent fights. In case of the couple flagging libido may be a source of tension that may lead to the wreckage of the relationship. Chronic snoring or sleep apnea can also contribute to domestic strife. When one of the partner gets disturbed due to snoring of the other partner than it will cause fatigue in him. This will be prime reason for the family drama.

The brain activity is diminished due to sleep deprivation. So it affects the motor skills of the person. Slurred speech, stuttering and speaking in monotone are symptoms that point to sleep deprivation. You may also fumble with small objects and be unsteady on your feet. These symptoms are exactly the same as you get from alcoholism. So if your brain will act slowly giving slower reaction time.

The decision making activity is altered as the brain is unable to make judgement. Here if the person is not induced in the deep sleep the person is unable to get proactive thinking. We need to understand that deep sleep is required to help regenerate neurons in the brain.

Vision issues are there in case of sleep deprived individual. This is major cause of the car accidents. It can be hard to process peripheral images and those in your direct line of sight at the same time.
