Why cosmic energy is often misconstrued as god
Posted: Oct 30, 2025
Many people mistakenly interpret the constant activity and universal presence of tiny cosmic energy particles as the work and existence of God. Over time, this misunderstanding led to the belief that these particles—simple atoms spread throughout the cosmos—represent a single, all-powerful divine being. The natural behavior and properties of these energy particles were misidentified as the attributes and powers of an almighty god.
God Never Rests or Sleeps
In truth, the atom is merely a cosmic energy particle, and the electron within it is another, even smaller one. Scientifically, electrons continuously orbit within atoms—they never stop or rest. Likewise, free cosmic energy particles in the environment are always in motion, just as planets, themselves made of such particles, revolve endlessly around the Sun. Because of this perpetual motion, people assumed that the cosmic energy particle (like the electron) represented a god who never sleeps or rests.
God as Omnipotent and Omnipresent
Cosmic energy particles exist everywhere—in stars, planets, air, water, earth, trees, animals, humans, and even non-living matter like stones and mountains. Their presence in all forms and locations gives them a quality of omnipresence. Yet, humans have mistaken this universal presence of energy for the divine presence of God, thus personifying cosmic energy as an all-powerful being. Those who believe eternal human souls to be gods worship them in temples, while others who revere cosmic energy itself see divinity in all of nature.
God as Omniscient
Cosmic energy possesses the ability to retain knowledge and memory of past events. One energy particle can exchange information with another through interconnected cosmic energy links. Similarly, human intelligence, stored in brain cells—which are also composed of cosmic energy—represents this same phenomenon. When a person dies, the energy particles that once formed their body and brain disperse, carrying traces of their skills and knowledge. These energy forms continue to move through the universe, preserving their memory. Humans have interpreted this property of cosmic energy as divine omniscience, giving rise to the idea of gods with different abilities and wisdom, worshiped under various names.
God Is Everywhere
Cosmic energy fills every corner of existence—from dust to stone, from the deepest oceans to the farthest stars. It is the very essence of all matter on Earth and in the universe. This ever-present energy has led humans to believe that God is everywhere, existing within every form and element of creation.
