Non Re-payable funds to help companies

One of the support provided by the government of Canada and Ontario is the "Grants Ontario". Grants Ontario is a Scheme which helps the entrepreneurs or organizations who are restricted to achieve the dream because of unavailability of funds. There are different government departments that provide this facility which include Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade; Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport; and, the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario; and, selected grants from the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs. These funds or grants are non-repayable so you don't need to worry about if anything goes wrong. You just need to work hard for that innovation which you have to offer to Canada and to rest of the world. There are workshops held and mentors who have been hired by the government to help startups and small companies.

Funding lean manufacturing Training

Government of Ontario and EMC in 2008 introduced funding for Lean training which helps manufacturers to become more efficient and stay competitive in the global economy. With this training, manufacturing companies in Ontario can adapt cost-effective ways to reduce wastage and manufacture high quality products. This step has been very useful for the manufacturing sector of Ontario and has taken the companies to the next level of competitiveness and innovation.

Tourism development Fund

In order to provide a boost to the Ontario's tourism industry and to enhance their economic competitiveness, Government of Ontario started to decide funding to tourism sectors that can contribute to the tourism industry of Ontario. The Tourism Development Fund supports projects that qualify three important Points: Investment in tourism, Developing high end tourism products and planned development.The Tourism Development Fund program provides funding to promote innovative and growing tourism sectors and encourage new tourism private sector which can add to Ontario’s overall economic.

Ontario Research Fund

Ministry of research and innovation Ontario has collaborated with India, Israel, China and other countries to help the researchers. Ontario has collaboration program with Israel called Ontario-Israel Collaboration Program and the funding amount is up to 50%. It's the same with India and china collaboration program. Ministry of research and innovation Ontario also provides funding for the organizations which deal with clean energy projects and also fund the researchers to build a team of people for their projects.

Apart from these Schemes and projects Government of Ontario provide Grants for Training to women in skilled trades and information technology. After the training women are qualified for applying for high-demand skilled trade jobs. Also there are funds provided to train people and build a team of professionals to create a more supportive environment for women who experienced sexual violence.
