My Umrah Experience in September
Posted: Feb 24, 2026
Umrah is a life-changing experience for all Muslims, and throughout their lives, they look up to every single opportunity that can take them closer to the Almighty. For me, performing Umrah in September was one of the best decisions of my life. The cherry on the top? I booked my September Umrah packages with one of the most reliable UK travel agencies, Muslims Holy Travel. They do offer a great range of family-oriented and affordable Umrah deals. Coming to my experience, it was overall a rollercoaster ride of emotions and spiritual renewal.
Let me walk you through how the entire experience turned out for me in September. I will share with you what feelings I experienced and what I learned from the entire holy journey.
What Led to the Choice of Umrah in September? While I had many options to choose from, I decided to go for the one with fewer crowds and a more peaceful vibe so that I could focus on strengthening my bond with Allah and all the aspects of Umrah deeply. Also, I had my family travelling along, and I didn’t want them to get stuck in heavy crowds, therefore, I decided to opt for an Umrah in a pleasant weather and fewer crowds such as that of the month September.
This month falls right after the peak season of Hajj and the number of pilgrims is pretty low as compared to the Hajj month. Furthermore, as you manage to get better rates for flights and hotels, as compared to the prices during December and Ramadan, September serves as an optimal choice for all those planning their Umrah in an off-crowd season. The best thing was, my family’s work and school schedules also aligned with this month and thus it proved to be an ideal time for me and my loved ones to undertake this holy journey. The calm atmosphere around gave my family and me enough time for self reflection.
My Overall Experience of Umrah in September- Summed UpArrivalWe first landed in Jeddah, and from there, I booked a car ride to Makkah. In around 1.5 hours, we managed to reach here and the entire journey was supersmooth and hassle-free. The moment we entered Makkah was beyond explanation as we felt a rush of emotions, with teary eyes, a little bit of nervousness, and hearts full of contentment. We also got to see the birthplace of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and caught the sight of Haram from a distance, which felt like a dream come true.
The very first thing we noticed about this land was the weather here. While it is an assumption that KSA is extremely hot, which is quite true to an extent. However, the weather in September was not that intense like the past few months. The temperatures were though still high, but overall, the heat was bearable and the early days or late nights were pretty cool. Therefore, we made sure to perform our Umrah in late and cooler so as to avoid the weather intensity. To our amazement, all the hotels and mosques here were centrally airconditioned and thus by staying hydrated at all times, we enjoyed a seamless journey as a whole.
How Performing the Umrah Rituals Felt Like?Performing each step of Umrah in September was quite meaningful and emotional experience for us, as it required proper learning of history behind each step, as well as involved the comprehension of the logic behind performing each step. I wore my Ihram and made the intention to start the journey, got to see the Kaaba for the very first time in my life and couldn’t stop my tears. What I felt during this time was peace and to humbly present myself in front of my Creator. As the crowd was light, I completed all my Tawaf rounds without any hassle or anyone pushing me from the back. Also, getting a chance to pray behind the Maqam-e-Ibrahim and drinking the Zamzam water further enriched my spiritual experience. The ritual of Sa’i reminded me of Hazrat Hajra’s efforts. Upon the completion of rituals, I shaved my heard and felt like a totally new person, both mentally and physically.
What I Liked the Most? The accommodation we got in Makkah didn’t only offer us affordable rates but also much comfort throughout our time here. As aforementioned Haram was not much occupied, so we got a chance to perform the rituals on our own pace. The queue lines for Zamzam water and washrooms were also short, and also the hotels and elevators were less occupied. Everything was made super-easy with 24/7 support from the travel agency we hired, especially for kids and the elderly members of my family. The people around were calm and kind, and overall, I felt a special connection to this place.
If you are one among those aiming to perform Umrah in September, I suggest you to go ahead without any second thought. Also, if you want a hassle-free experience like mine, I recommend you to hire Muslims Holy Travel as your travel partner and check out their September Umrah packages.
