Finding high-value players at a low cost has become increasingly difficult following the Team of the Year (TOTY) cycle, as the power curve continues to be dominated by top-tier Evolutions. However, this week’s "Budget Ballers" series highlights two standout options: a 30,000-FUT coin midfield engine hidden in the market and a high-upside SBC winger who could become a long-term staple in your squad.

The Midfield Maestro: Aleix García

Aleix García is the definition of a "hidden gem" for players looking to maximize their budget. Despite his low market price, his technical profile is elite, featuring the Golden Tiki-Taka PlayStyle and nearly maxed-out passing stats. While he lacks specialized shooting traits, his high base stats ensure a reliable floor for finishing, making his late runs into the box surprisingly clinical.

Tactically, García excels as a Deep-Lying Playmaker or a Box-to-Box midfielder. His AI attacking movement is top-tier, particularly when timing late arrivals into the area to unleash power shots. The only notable drawback is his lack of the Relentless (Battery) PlayStyle, which can affect his stamina in high-intensity matches. Defensively, he holds his own better than expected; applying a Shadow or Anchor Chemistry Style is highly recommended to boost his physicality and pace, transforming him into a well-rounded midfield anchor.

The Agility King: Gervinho (SBC)

With many players currently holding duplicate fodder from recent packs, the Gervinho SBC is a high-priority craft. His standout features are the Golden Technical (Blue Dragon) and Golden Quick Step (Rocket) PlayStyles, which, combined with his unique body type, make his left-stick dribbling feel incredibly fluid. On the wing, he plays like a "slippery eel," making him nearly impossible for defenders to track in 1-on-1 situations.

The primary compromise with Gervinho is his inconsistent finishing, which can be unpredictable depending on the match. To mitigate this, a Deadeye Chemistry Style is essential to maximize his Shooting and Passing. If played on the left as an inverted winger, his Silver Finesse Shot trait becomes a key weapon; on the right, he is more effective using power shots or cutting inside for traditional finesse efforts. Given his links to Arsenal’s performance-based upgrades, he has a high probability of receiving further stat boosts. With the Relentless PlayStyle already in his locker, he can sprint for the full 90 minutes without fatigue, making him a dynamic threat from start to finish.
