The Great Wall is the brand & symbol of China and is one of the must-see highlight to the visitors visiting China.

It has an interesting history and valuable description about its past. The Great wall was built over more than two thousand year with an aim of protecting agriculture and resisting cavalry of the Huns and other warrior tribes from the north. Its construction began in the early 6th and 7th century BC and the last work on the wall was done between the 14th and 17th century.

The wall is a series of fortifications which was originally built of grass, tampered earth, stone and wood. The bricks were produced in kilns set up along the walls during the Ming dynasty. The bricks were transported by donkeys, mules and men carrying them on their backs and even goats had a brick tied to their head before being driven up to the mountain. Basically, the history of Great Wall of China shows the blend of culture, history, defense and political administration that serves as the mode of entertainment and leisure for millions of tourists from across the world.

The wall is a must see tourist spot as a trip and creates a mesmerizing effect to the tourist due to its exquisite structure. There are several sections to visit. For e.g. Mutianyu Section is considered to be the best for the day trips, as it takes around half of the day to visit the location. For adventure lovers and hikers, a trip to Jhinshanling to simatai or gubeikou is highly recommended. And in order to explore the wilder side of the trip, a visit to Huanghua Cheng or Jiankou is advised. Moreover, the Simatai section, Badaling Section and the Mutianyu section are some of the popular sections of the Great Wall that have played their vital roles during the construction and destruction of the Great Wall of China during several revolutions.

Spring time is the best time of the season to visit the Wall as during this time the crowd is less and gives visitor a more chance to explore the hidden charm of the wall.
