Some computer owners may assume hackers are the cause for so much grief with their computer files being missing or their computer needing hard disk recovery. However, the reason for needing a hard drive recovery service may not be quite as complicated as the latest virus. Recent data shows UK employees are more likely to accidentally erase the files they need by hitting a single button, than their computers are be under a malicious attack by a hacker. As many as 67% of employees have admitted accidentally erasing data, according to a Cisco Security study.

Surprising, some laptop data recovery issues were caused by failures to communicate between IT professionals in the company and other employees. Poor communication can cost a UK company a whopping £2.7 billion a year according to a study by Cass Business School. How does this ultimately affect laptop data recovery or hard disk recovery? It may mean a company will must suffer further lengthy delays if they do not call a hard drive recovery service.

Deleted files actually stay in the System

Why are data pros who recover hard drive data able to successfully recover files in so many cases? The files may not be gone, as employees think. UK computers depend on a complicated algorithm which tells the hard drive where a file is physical located on the drive. If an employee accidently deletes this information, the computer hard drive may not be able to locate the file, even though it is still on the hard drive.

Files are rarely truly lost unless they have been overwritten on a hard drive. However, they cannot be found by someone without knowledge. This is why it is best to hire a computer professional who performs hard drive recovery service daily.

File corruption and formatting easily loses data as Well

It is true hacking can cause file corruption; however, file corruption is also easily caused by improperly shutting down software programs. Another culprit of missing data is one where a C drive has been formatted. Formatting a C drive may not only wipe a computer of much needed files, but also mean all previous files are inaccessible. In most cases, all it takes is one slip of the finger to delete a C drive and cause the need for laptop data recovery.

If any employee suffers file corruption, it may be better to let an IT staff member know so the computer hard drive can be sent for repairs. It is easier to perform laptop hard drive recovery on a machine whose C drive has not been formatted. It also ensures the greatest chance of successfully recovering data after calling a hard driver recovery service.
