Where in Monopoly Go Can You Block? U4GM Guide

If Monopoly GO has started to feel a bit crowded, there is a simple way to clear out the people you do not want around. A lot of players first notice it during partner play or when they are checking friends for event help, especially around a Monopoly Go Partners Event. The thing is, not every annoying player can be handled the same way, so it helps to know what the game actually lets you do.

Head to the main board, then tap the Friends button in the bottom-right corner. That opens the social area. From there, switch to the Leaderboard tab and take a look through the names you already have added. You can only block someone who is on your friends list, so if a random player has been wrecking your landmarks, this method will not touch them. That is the part people miss most often.

Find the right name first

Once you are in the Leaderboard, scroll slowly until you spot the friend you want gone. Tap their name, and a small menu should pop up with more options. If the person is not on your list, there will not be anything useful to tap. That is normal. A lot of players expect a quick fix here, but the game keeps this one tied to friendships only.

  1. Open Friends from the main board.
  2. Go to the Leaderboard tab.
  3. Look for the friend you want to remove.
  4. Tap their profile name.
  5. Choose the block option in the menu.
What blocking actually changes

After you block someone, they should disappear from your active social view in Monopoly GO. You wont keep seeing them in the same way, and they should lose the easy route to your profile and board. It is a clean cut, and for many players that is the whole point. Sometimes you do not want drama, you just want to roll dice and get on with the game.

A quieter game can feel better

If your friends list has gotten messy, this is one of those small settings that makes a real difference. You are not changing the whole game, just choosing who gets access to your space. That can save a bit of frustration when you are focused on events, upgrades, or trades. And if you are also looking to move faster with collection goals, some players even check places where they can buy Monopoly Go Stickers while they clean up their friend list, since the two things often come up together in day-to-day play.
