Simply put, Google AdWords is Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising service on Google SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). Digital marketing companies all over the world use AdWords for effective PPC campaigns both for themselves and their clients. Listed here are some of the benefits one reaps by proper and efficient use of Google AdWords:

Small initial investments- One of the vital reasons behind the success of Google AdWords is that it requires small initial investments. Moreover, the keyword bids are independent and once the account is created and content is released, the rest of the payment is charged as per the clicks received on the ad. Therefore,

No clicks= No Charge.

Calculable quantities- With Google AdWords, one can easily measure and manage all aspects of their marketing campaign like number of clicks received, impressions and conversions; click through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC) and cost per acquisition (CPA), etc. this makes calculation of ROI (Return on Investments) values easier.

Location based results- Google AdWords allows you to target specific geographic locations for each of your ad campaign. For example, if you own a paint shop in London, UK; with AdWords you can easily adjust your target location preferences in and around London city where you wish to display your ad. With effective AdWords management in London, you can also target audiences searching for paint shops in London irrespective of whether they are physically present in your targeted city or not.

Device compatibility- As per Google statistics, mobile searches, growing exponentially, have outgrown the desktop search queries a long time ago; thus making mobile marketing extremely crucial for businesses. Google AdWords allows you to display your ad campaigns on each and every device, whether it is a desktop, tablet, laptop or mobile providing you new opportunities to target a larger audience within your same budget.

Auto Tagging- One has to manually tag destination URLs for analytics tracking with other advertisers but this process is automatic with Google AdWords.

Flexibility- Google AdWords allows its customers to modify their ads, add new search terms (keywords), pause and restart their advertisement campaigns according to their business needs and preferences at absolutely zero additional costs.

These were some of the many advantages of Google AdWords that I gathered from my recent experiences with the service. If you know any more of its merits (or demerits for that matter), feel free to share them with me and other fellow readers through our comments thread.
