You have usually seen a pole at many places to supply the telephone cables, electric cable, and the same namely power pole or so but have you ever seen that how these poles are produced. What process is used to produce these poles? How long will be the unit where these poles are manufactured? These are some questions which are normally beyond the concerns of common people as they are only users. These poles are also referred as Utility poles because of their common use. Normally, these poles are made of steel joints. Production unit of these poles is called mother line.

In various countries of world, these poles are referred with different names too, though the nature of work of all the poles is almost the same. All the poles are manufactured in different joints and the measurement of each joint is kept in such a way so that the last end can be inserted into another in easy way. Once the two different ends are jointed with each other, next portion is added and same process repeated. In some countries, height restriction to the poles is also imposed. No pole can be erected more than the stipulate height limit. Base of these poles is determined according to the normal strata of the area.

Still it is considered well that more than 6 ft length is buried in earth for providing strength to each pole. In most of the production units of poles, some advanced CNC machines are used and these machines work to provide control on the volume of the poles. The production is a huge process and it is quite possible that some volumetric mistakes are happened. To avoid such mistakes, mechanical eyes are deputed on work and presently a lot of CNC V Grooving Machine being used to maintain the volumetric control and numeric control over the production.
