Summer’s here and the time is right for wearing cute trends.

But what’s hot and what’s not this season, and what works for stunning wheelchair divas?

We want to stay cool, but look hot.

To me that means staying comfortable, which is totally doable while looking fabulous, whatever the glossies might have us think.

Mix it up and have fun – the world is your dressing up box.

Here are my 16 top summer fashion tips for wheelchair users starting from the toe up.

As a wheelchair user I find people always notice my shoes first all the more reason to make sure they’re fabulous.

Try these super wearable styles in some of the awesome colours on offer this season.

Gladiator sandals, just in case you ever doubted you were a goddess. Flattering, comfortable and breathable.

A small heel will elongate your calves and make your legs look even more summerlicious!

If you’re proud of your pins try tailored shorts or scuba skorts.

They are comfortable in a sitting position and will show off your shapely legs

If you’re more comfortable covering up, long sheer skirts are very in this season.

The length of a maxi skirt is perfect for wheelchair users and the floaty fabric will keep you cool.

We are spoiled for choice with dresses on the high street right now, and there’s one for everybodies taste and figure.

Skater dresses look great on everybody, and the flare of the skirt can help counteract the illusion of a pear shaped figure while sat in your wheelchair.

Shirt dresses in a chambray denim or just about any colour that grabs you.

Undo that top button for a little air, plus a hint of cleavage.

Remember to draw the eye to what you want people to see with careful styling choices.

Vintage style dresses are not just for evening glam.

A well styled tea dress makes perfect daytime attire.

When buying non-stretchy fabrics it pays to buy a size or two up so you have room to wheel your chair without popping a button.

There are a fabulous selection of beautiful bottoms this season.

Palazzo pants in various prints are still very much on trend.

Their comfortable waistband and floaty fabric are perfect for a sitting position. Leggings are also a great choice and come in a variety of prints.

Longline tops are a perfect partner to pants.

This summer is the season of the uneven hemline, which is perfect for wheelchair users so the top doesn’t ride up at the back.

If you’ve been working on your upper body, try a high neck cropped top or a short halter top. Perfect for showing off those abs.

Kimono tops go with everything and are hot this summer. Go for short sleeves to they’re clear of your wheels.

Mix it up, show off your best assets and have fun. That is, after all, what summer is all about.
