As most of the products that are packaged in the PET containers are prone to spillage and leakage hence it sin important for the manufacturers of the PET bottles to make sure that the bottles and containers are properly manufactured with the best quality. Any quality defect in the containers can easily affect the quality, safety and hygiene of the products that are present inside. It is essential for the manufacturers of the PET products to make sure that the containers and bottles are subjected strictly quality check with the help of efficient and accurate quality testing instruments so that there is not threat to the safety and hygiene of the products that are packaged in the containers.

The caps of the bottle play a vital role in deciding the quality of the PET containers. If the caps and lids of the containers are not intact or of proper strength and can be opened quickly, it can really be a significant issue regarding the safety of the products. To test the integrity and intactness of the caps of the PET bottles, a torque tester is used. It is a highly effective and efficient testing instrument that is used for testing the minimum force that is required to open the caps or lid of a PET container, jar or bottle. During the test, the cylinder is clamped between four load sensors with a firm grip. After the bottle is placed correctly, the caps of the bottle are opened manually. When the force applied on the bottle caps, it gives the bottle an equal and opposite reaction to the bottle which is recorded by the load sensors. This helps in calculating the minimum force that is required to open the bottle caps.

With this testing procedure, it becomes easier for the manufacturers of the PET containers that whether a container is ideal for a particular application or not. In this way, they can assure the best quality products to their clients.
