Thinking of Enrolling in a Yoga Training Course in India? Ask Yourself These Questions First
Posted: Sep 01, 2015
Are you fascinated by yoga and would like to enroll in a course here in India? Well, there are some few questions you should ask yourself before heading straight to the fitness training institution.
So before making that leap, ask yourself the following.
1. How prepared and dedicated are you to yoga?
Are you absolutely sure it’s something you want to do? Are you ready to tackle the hurdles that come with teaching yoga? (Not unless you’re taking the yoga course to deepen your practice). Don’t be fooled by what you see in the television-- teaching yoga is no walk in the park. It needs a dedicated, patient and loving soul. If you want to teach out of love for yoga the better. Making a career out of something you love doing isn’t difficult as opposed to something you’re doing to make money.
So if you feel you are ready and have something to offer the world, go for it.
2. Why do you want to take a yoga course?
What are you really in for; the money, the love of yoga or to help people lead a healthy and stress-free lifestyle? It might be a combination of the three but at least you should figure out why you want to do it. Well, if you don’t know why you’re doing it, why are you even doing it? Or better still, what are you even doing?
3. Which yoga style would you love to teach or concentrate on?
There must be a certain style(s) that you like practicing. Are you more into Hatha, asanas or Ashtanga yoga? It is well known that people have different yoga styles that work best for them. However, if you don’t know which style works best for or not sure on what to take, just explore all the available options. Also, fitness institutions like Fitness Matters help trainees discover their yoga paths.
4. Do you have the resources to start the course?
Do you actually have the money for the course? If yes, do you have the time to do it? And if your answer is no, where are planning to get the money? Don’t borrow, as tempting as it may seem unless you have an eligible repayment plan. The India yoga course will be there 1 year or ten years to come. So don’t rush, just wait till you are in a better place, financially speaking.
If time is tricky for you, just find a solution first before enrolling in a class.
Well, answers to the above questions should help you kick-start your yoga training course in a positive note.
