Andrew Stoner is a former member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He was a Member of Parliament for 16 years and also represented Oxley in New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He served as the Shadow Minister for different portfolios including Regional Development, Emergency Services, Sport and Recreation, Natural Resources, Ports, Skills Development, Road Infrastructure, State development and Education. Meanwhile, he developed a wide range of contacts in Asia, Middle East, and North America in government and business.

While working with the Australian government, he was responsible for NSW’s government’s international engagement strategy, including trade missions and the establishment of trade offices in priority markets, contributing to the State’s growth in exports and inward investment. He delivered $4 billion redevelopment of the Sydney International Convention Entertainment & Exhibition Precinct at Darling Harbour within time and budget.

Andrew Stoner co-led the New South Wales government’s asset recycling strategy through private sector ownership/operation of key economic assets including ports and electricity infrastructure. He also led the development and implementation of Industry Action Plans in partnership with prime sectors. These sectors include, digital economy, advanced manufacturing, agribusiness, professional services, visitor economy, creative industries and international education/research.

He also holds experience in business and has served a variety of managerial roles and as a Human Resources professional. At present, he is serving as the Director of his own consulting business "Andrew Stoner & Associates". The firm offers the advice for investment including in agribusiness, property, infrastructure and SME’s, export strategy, stakeholder relations, communications including media management; relevant social and cultural issues, investor and business migration, and government regulations.

Andrew Stoner from New South Wales, emphasized upon strengthening the ties with trading partner, international students and significant source of inbound investment - China. He attended the annual conference of ACETCA. The mission of ACETCA is to promote Sino-Australia Economic and Trade Development, Sino-Australia Culture and Technology Exchange, Sino-Australia Youth Exchange, Charity and Social Harmony, and Bilateral Relations with Australia and China Through Friendship, and Nurture young elites.

He is a sports loving person who likes to participate in different physical activities. He enjoys surfboarding, golf, and tennis in his free time. Besides this, he also loves traveling to new places around the world. In his personal life, he is a benevolent person and believes in charity. He is a patron of Australia China Economic, Trade and Cultural Association. He is also a regular donor to St. Vincent de Paul and others.
