The Condominium Culture Sweep

Condos only appear to be a recent concept, when in truth they have been around for quite some time now. There are some stories circulating that ancient Romans were the ones to start the concept of condos, which may or may not be true. Roman scriptures do not mention any dwelling units that fit the frame of a condo. Although construction-wise they were the same, but in all other aspects (for example, community ownership and legal affairs) the dwelling lacked. The modern concept of condominium was actually revolutionized by the famous architect, Le Corbusier, through his Unite d’Habitation in Marseilles. This building had hallways running on every third floor joining both ends of a building, and dwelling units that covered two storeys. Such a living space became extremely popular with the middle-class income group. Taking hints and ideas from this, the architects worldwide turned condo units into something extremely posh – the very definition of a condo defined wealth of the owner. It stayed that way for a while, and now, condos have started to become affordable again with science of materials and construction making way for cost cutting where possible.

Luxury real estate concerning apartment buildings is becoming less and less popular with buyers these days. This is especially because for the same price, Sarasota condos for sale are springing up. There are more reasons for popularity of condos. The first is the posh environment they create, regardless of the price slab they belong to. When entering an apartment unit, the feeling of openness that a condo unit induces isn’t felt. Condos are characterized by meaningful use of space. In the same area that an apartment is constructed, a condo will offer better space utilization. This makes it a worthwhile investment – attractive enough to strike out apartments from your list. The living space in a condo is designed in a way to make small area breathable enough to be habitable. The sense of suffocation is saved, and the residents are able to inculcate a feeling of mental peace. The contemporary design of a condo unit breaks the monotony in the minds of residents – the monotonous feeling that arises from "being at home". Unlike apartments, the play with constructional elements of a condo makes the space interesting enough to make the life of residents interesting too. Another reason to invest in condos is the premium fixtures and fitting that are used in the unit. It is impossible to find such fixtures and fittings (that last longer than time) in an apartment. It gives you a peace of mind thinking that you won’t have to worry over trivial matters when living in your condo.

When looking at advertisements for new homes for sale, preferring condos to duplexes can also be explained. For less the price, a condo offers you equally posh and premium lifestyle that a duplex does. It even has added benefits to offer – like community sharing, facilities of pool, gym, indoor games, etc.
