As a professional gamer, jayengelheart2 has been obsessed with video games and their consoles ever since he was a little boy, growing up in Cincinnati. Now as he nears the biggest tournament of his career, he pays homage to the games that he grew up on as well as the ones that helped him earn a spot in the professional arena. Through putting a countless amount of hours into practicing, he is readier than ever to take on world-class competitors and distinguish himself as a career gamer. Below are descriptions of all his favorite games, including the ones he grew up on and the ones he currently competes in.

Mega Man

The game that jayengelheart2 credits as raising him, Mega Man is one of the most popular franchises in all of Nintendo history. Now with over a dozen versions that span across the multiple Nintendo consoles produced in the past two decades, Mega Man has evolved while staying true to its roots. More recent versions have similar makeup for the bosses while also carrying the high levels of difficulty this series has become notorious for.

Mortal Kombat

Next to come up after the popularity of Nintendo was its then-rival, Sega. And Sega produced Mortal Kombat, which will go down as one of the most epic fighting games ever. With the elements of fighter-on-fighter action mixed with creative character development and violent brutality, Mortal Kombat earned itself an irreplaceable spot in arcades as well as in home consoles.

Goldeneye 007

The day that Goldeneye was released on Nintendo 64, it became clear that the future of shoot ‘em up games was very bright. By allowing four players to go against each other at once, the shootouts in Goldeneye got more intense and, therefore, more addicting. Add I the variety of weapons groups and sophisticated maps, and the way for future games of this genre had been paved.

Call of Duty

The words "Call of Duty" mean more to jayengelheart2 than just a video game. This intense shoot ‘em up game has become one of the most popular video game franchises to ever be produced, and with good reason. The graphics, intensity of game-play and variety of weaponry is second to none; and with the addition of Internet connectivity comes the opportunity to play this exciting game against opponents around the plane without leaving your living room. jayengelheart2 will be competing in a large COD tournament this month.
