Hanoi is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and was also the capital of many dynasties of Vietnam in the past. Under the French colonial era, in 1902, Hanoi became the capital of the Indochinese Federation. The French people planned the construction of the city following the style of Haussmann in Paris that Hanoi was considered as the Little Paris in the Orient at the time. During the wars of Vietnam in the 20th century, Hanoi was the capital of North Government, the unified Vietnam and keeps this role until today.

With its ancient history, its cultural crossroads between Europe and Asia, Hanoi represents the interests not to be missed while travel in Vietnam.
