Pachmarhi tourism has numerous spots to offer to its guests. Out of the many gems that this quaint place has in store for its visitors, here is an enumeration of the most intriguing sites that you must visit while in Pachmarhi.

  1. Dhoopgarh

Dhoopgarh, which was initially known as Harvatsa Kot, is the most noteworthy point in the Satpura mountain ranges. This famous spot is known for its breathtaking views of sunset and sunrise. It is situated at a height of 4429 feet above sea level and offers a lovely view of the surroundings.

2. Pandav Caves

The Pandav Caves were built around the sixth to seventh century. By holy people, the Pandavas are said to have spent their time of outcast in these mystic caves. It is said that Arjuna in the pretense of an eunuch taught music to Nagpati and married the girl of Nagraj Vasu, who lived in Nagdwari around 15 Km from Pachmarhi. These hollowed marvels are currently under the archeological review of India. The caves of all the five Pandava siblings and Draupadi are worth visiting.

3. Apsara Vihar

Apsara Vihar is a naturally formed pool with a delightful and little waterfall. Commonly known as the Fairy Pool, Apsara Vihar is located on the hills of Pachmarhi, close to Pandava Caves. The 30 feet high waterfall, facilitates for a shallow pool, which is a mainstream spot for picnic, famous among the local people and additionally among the travelers. According to a legend, English women used to bathe in this pool amid the British rule in India. As the English women wore white garments while showering, local people thought them to be pixies and subsequently named the pool as Apsara Vihar or Fairy Pool.

4. Rajendra Giri

This ridge was named as Panorama Giri to pay tribute to the visit of Dr. Rajendra Prasad. A sapling he planted there is presently a developed tree. You can get an outstanding view of the Satpura Hill range from here. Ravi Shankar Bhawan here was developed for facilitating an accommodation for Dr. Rajendra Prasad. It is likewise called the VIP Bhawan.

5. Priyadarshini Point

Amongst the many places to visit in Pachmarhi, this very point is famous for giving an astounding view of the whole Pachmarhi Valley.
