Barcelona

To begin your ride, catch the cycle path at the Plaça de Catalunya, the central square of Barcelona. You may want to grab some sandwiches and water in town before starting out, as there will be a couple of parks along the way that will be perfect for stopping for a lunch or water break.

Parc Güell

From Barcelona you will travel along the bike route heading north along the coast, 4.37km to Parc Güell, Barcelona’s most famous park on the northern face of the Collseraola mountain range. Located on Carmel Hill, Park Güell is made up of beautiful gardens and architectural elements created by the famous artist Antoni Gaudí.

Built between 1900 and 1914, Park Güell was opened as a public park in 1926, and in 1984 UNESCO declared the space a World Heritage Site. You will need a ticket to enter and it is recommended you purchase tickets online in advance of your visit. Parc del Turo de la Peira

The next place of interest along your route from Barcelona to Lloret de Mar is worth the stop, if only for the spectacular views. Only 3.95km from Park Güell and 8.32km from the start of your ride from Barcelona, Parc del Turo de la Peira stretches over eight hectares of forest-like parkland high up in the Nou Barris district.

You will need to walk your bike up a spiral of circular paths, passing landscaped grassy areas and leafy pine groves to the top of the hill, before taking in the breath-taking 360° views of Barcelona.

Premia de Mar

Next up is the coastal town of Premia de Mar, located 21.38km from the Parc del Turo de la Peira and 29.7km from Barcelona. Take a leisurely walk or ride through the town centre to take in the architecture from various eras, including neoclassical, modern and noucentisme. The next leg of your cycle route will be the last and will cover the most ground, so a break in Premia de Mar is a great occasion to fill up on water and snacks.

Lloret de Mar

The longest leg of your trip from Barcelona to Lloret de Mar will bring you to your final destination after an 85.62km ride. As one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, your days in Lloret de Mar can be spent lounging on the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
