CAT 2016 Application Procedure

CAT is an online standardised entrance examination held as a pre- requisite to admission to various MBA courses in Top B-schools. With only a few months left for the examination, one can’t help but wonder about the application process of the examination. The students are curious about application process, the dates and much more. So given below are the application details for the CAT 2016:Registration: The first step of the application process is the online registration. The registration process for CAT 2016 will be commencing in August 2016 and will be done online. The application schedule has not been announced yet, however, the registration process is expected to commence from August 6, 2016 and end by August 29, 2016. The CAT Exam Application Process is entirely online. A separate website – iimcat.ac.in, has been created specifically for the application process. Through this website a candidate can not only register for CAT 2016, but also download their admit card and check their score card when the result is out.

Application process: After you have successfully registered yourself online, you can move on to filling the application form. You should read the information bulletin carefully and fill in the application form accordingly to avoid rejection. For filling the application form you will have to first login to the official website. The steps to login are described below:

? Go to the official CAT 2016 website.? On the right side of the homepage, above the Register "Now" link, you will find "Existing User" tab. Click on this tab.? You will be redirected to Login Window.? Enter the Login id and password sent to you on your registered email address and mobile number.? Click on the "Login" tab.

Following this process you will be able to login to your account and open application form. Fill the form as per the guidelines provided and submit it online. Application fees: The application fee is specified below:

General/NC-OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Other Backward Classes)- 1600 INRSC (Scheduled Caste)/ST (Scheduled Tribe) 800 INR

PwD (Persons with Disability)/DA (Differently Abled) 800 INR
