  3. Once you have fixed the appointment, you have to visit the enrolment centre (that you have selected) to submit your documents including address and identity proof.
  4. At Aadhaar Card Enrolment Centre, you will be given an aadhaar application form that costs nothing. You can also download the same form online and fill it up to save time at the enrolment centre.
  5. After you submit your application form at enrolment centre, a designated person will submit the same information in system. Then the person will take your photo and scan your finger-prints and iris.
  6. Again check your details on the system before it is sent to a centralised data validation centre. Particularly check for spelling mistakes as it may give you trouble in future to get your Aadhaar Card.
  7. After submitting your information and images on the system, you will be provided with an Acknowledgment Slip with Enrolment Number. Usually it takes 60-90 days to process the card and you can check your Aadhaar Card status online with help of this Enrolment Number.
  8. After verifying your documents and details, a central unit will generate Aadhaar Card for you. You will be intimated from their side about the status of your card through SMS and E-mail. They will also send you an approximated date when you can expect your Aadhaar Card to reach your address by post.
  9. You can also download your card online by going to the official website of UIDAI. There we can find the option for "Download E-Aadhaar". E-Aadhaar is just like your original Aadhaar Card.
