We are living in a world of technology where network transmission and staying connected over the internet is the critical element. There are two types of transmission, one using cabled and another one is wireless. In this blog, we’ll be focusing on wireless connection and what is Wireless LAN.

A Wireless LAN or Wireless Local Area Network is one which provides the wireless connection between two or more devices within a limited area. WLAN allows users to get connected within the coverage area by maintaining the connection. In WLAN, the transmission is done through radio waves which are generated by the modulation of electromagnetic waves.

The medium through which communication happens in WLAN is less secure and can listen in to outsiders. Subsequently, to make it a protected channel, the planners of WLAN have come up with a technique for encrypting the information. The encryption of the information helps in setting up a protected channel over the medium and in this manner, the third party cannot crack the information. But, this is not the case in wired LAN as the medium is not open and are highly secured over the connection.

There is a difference between WLAN and Wi-Fi and should not be confused in either of the names. Wi-Fi enables one or more devices to stay connected over the internet whereas, in WLAN, devices are connected to each other.

There are two central procedures to set up a bunch proprietor in the Wi-Fi Direct group. In one approach, the customer sets up a P2P total proprietor physically. This method is generally called Autonomous Group Owner (self-administering GO). In the second technique, in like manner called game plan based bunch creation, two contraptions battle in light of the group proprietor point esteem.
