From the moment you land in a city to the second you depart, naturally you want everything to run smoothly – including your transportation to and from your accommodation. When you arrive in the wonderful city of Venice, this issue becomes even more important, being a water-locked destination. It doesn't mean it is difficult, however. Here we share some tips.

Private or shared?

When you arrive and depart Venice, airport transfers (booked ahead online) can give you the luxury of being able to sit back and have the issue of getting to your hotel taken care of. But how you take the route is still up to you. Will you choose a private vehicle or will you take a shared van? Will you go by road or water? The difference is, at the very least, an issue of price. Private vehicles will be more expensive, of course, especially if you are travelling alone or with a small group. Yet this option will give you the peace of mind of knowing you are heading straight to your hotel. In a shared van you will save money, but you need to accept the trip will take a little longer - and it can be hard to squeeze a number of your friends and family into the one vehicle.

How much time do you need to arrive?

When you arrive in Venice, airport transfers will save you time and get you to your hotel quickly, however you may still need to measure carefully the possible time your flight will take to land and the time you need to pass through the formalities and into the terminal - this will determine how and when you book your pick up.

How much time do you need when you're leaving?

It is easy to get caught up enjoy the highlights of a city, and this is perhaps even more so when you're experiencing the glamour of Venice. Airport transfers to get you to your departing flight mean you can savour more time to enjoy the city and mean you won't be hunting for a last minute taxi. With this peace of mind, you can enjoy yourself right up until your very last hours in this magical city. Check with the company regarding traffic, routes and expected travel time to make sure you have a realistic idea of when you need to book your transport, so as to avoid missing your flight.

Which location?
