Nepal is beautiful country situated in the lap of Himalayas. Nepal is rich in natural resources because it has geographical variation. It expands from the top Himalayas to the low valleys of Terai. It has high mountain deep valleys beautiful lakes, rivers, thick green forest, various specious of birds and animals, waterfalls, there are many artistic temples, historical places, Buddhist stupas, monasteries, museums etc. Here tourism refers to the business, activity related to the service provided for tourist during their stay in the places. So it has become one of the most tourist destinations of the world.

Tourism has the great importance because it is large and fastest growing industry in the world. It helps to contribute our national income, creations of variety jobs, developments of infrastructures, publicity of Nepal in the in the external would, support for cottage industry, conservation of art and culture and so on to develop tourism, we have to provide good facilities to tourist. They should feel comfortable and safe. We have to save our national sereneness because most of the tourists coming to Nepal are found to me interested in Trekking in Nepal, hiking in green hills, forest walking, white water rafting, sightseeing tour etc.We should show the tourist good hospitality and the government should provide good air service to them.

Although tourism is a good sector to improve economic condition of our country, some demerits are also found. People intimate about Western culture, tourists pollute the area, unnecessary crowd is observed, valuable plants and wild life are destroyed, shortage of fuel, food and water because tourist have preference over local people, rises the market price because they can pay more. Besides of these many teenagers copy the drinking, smoking, and taking drugs habit from the tourist.

However, there are some problems for tourism in Nepal. They are unplanned urbanization; limited sites for waste disposal; poor infrastructures such as transport, communication, hotels and lodges; lack of facilities and activities, lack of good publicity network; poor security, lack of skilled human resources on tourist areas, lack of proper maintenance of tourist resources such as natural, historical, religious and cultural heritage.

Thus tourists are the important sources of economic upliftment. We should welcome tourist as they are our good guests.
