How To Fix Belkin Router Not Working Problem

Are you dealing with belkin router not working or blinking orange light problem? if you do so, let me tell you, this problem may be due to following reasons.

  1. Connection problem.
  2. Router Problem.
  3. Setup problem.

First, you should check the internet light status on your modem. make sure your modem has a solid green internet light.

If you don’t have an orange or yellow light on your modem. this problem may be related to your isp.

In this situation, you have to call your ISP and ask them for the solution.

If the internet is working fine on your router but it’s just the router, which is not working. you should not worry about it at. Just keep calm yourself and follow the instructions given below.

  1. Power off your router and modem for one minute and then power it back on. Wait for 1 minute and then let’s see what color of light can you see on your router? is it still blinking orange?
  2. Check the cable connection between router and modem, your modem should be connected from internet port of the router.

Also, you should try to replace the ethernet cable from a while. because sometimes, your router may stop working due to faulty ethernet cable.

Try to unplug the router and modem for once, and then plug it in again. let’s see is your router working now or not?

3. Also, you should not forget to check the router firmware. If you have an old belkin router. you should keep updating its firmware from time to time.

To find the latest firmware, you may visit Belkin's official website and download it.

4. Sometimes, you might get belkin router blinking orange problem due to the unidentified connection.

This problem usually comes. When your modem doesn’t identify the connection between router and modem. in this situation, you have to do mac cloning,

Once you will clone the mac address. you will automatically start getting internet on your router.

5. After following all these instructions, if your router is still not working, in that case, you have to factory restore your router and setup your belkin router once again.
